Sarcasm is so confusing if you do not get it. Unlike some, I don't always understand the difference between normal speech and sarcastic speech. My friend will be talking to me one moment normally and then burst into this other tone that seems utterly pointless, which throws up my barriers and alarms start ringing. WARNING WARNING SARCASM ALERT. I hate it. This one time, I asked a question in class and she awnserd it in that horrible confusing way and i thought she was being serious. I was royally laughed a by the class and the teacher. Great boost in confidence.
However, this did not effect me in ways it would the girl sitting across from you on the other table in the cafe. Or that guy standing on the tube infront of you. No. I let it pass over my head. whoosh. I feel that if you can't learn to laugh at your own mistakes when everyone else is then you might aswell just accept that you are going to be miserable.
Anyway, back to the point. Sarcasm is great if you know how to use it. for the %24.34 of us that don't understand it, it is a horrible waste of time that ends up with someone getting laughed at and having the difference of sarcastic speech and normal speech explained to them for the one millionth time.
Okay, moan over.
Thanks for reading .... from Jess, your local web aunt aggie. or whatever, you know what i mean.
